A Weekend Break in Cornwall – Springfields Farm Park

Last weekend we headed to Seaview Holiday Village near Looe for a short break.

Cornwall is almost a home from home for us as we always seem to end up their short breaks, but we had never visited the South-East of the county before so we relished the chance to do a little exploring.

Being October, the weather was a little hit and miss and we did have do dodge a few heavy showers, but it didn’t spoil the fun. We downloaded the App for Cornwall, which is a free to download app that has easy to search information and discount codes for local attractions and restaurants to see where to visit locally. Despite being drawn towards Adrenalin Quarry which was just a few miles away, we decided against it as had the littlies with us, so headed to Springfields Farm Park instead.

We last visited Springfields back in September 2015 when the new owners had recently taken over and had lots of plans to improve the park, so were keen to see what they had achieved.

The kids remembered it as soon as we turned into the car park and were itching to get outside and onto the play equipment straight away.

Springfields

Springfields is a great day out for all the family, with plenty of space for the kids to run and play safely, inside the huge play barn or outdoors in the park.

Springfields

There is lots of play equipment and we were excited to find that they had a new obstacle course for the kids to challenge themselves on.

Springfields

There is also firm favourites of a wooden castle, train and pirate ship climbing frames as well as trampolines, rowing boats, go-karts, large astra mat slides and of course animals to see, pet and even ride.

Springfields

We have been trying to persuade Sebastian to ride a pony for a while now, but after seeing Eliza ride one here, he finally plucked up the courage to have a go himself.

Springfields

The park also boasts four lakes, an ancient woodland walk and is home many animals including chickens, pigs, sheep, rabbits, alpaca’s, ducks, geese, goats, fish and more.

Springfields

The kids loved feeding the huge fish in the lakes as they came right up to the surface and you could see them clearly.

Springfields

They have re-done all the paths since our last visit, added in a super speedy large zip line and improved the Go Cart track too.

Springfields

We spent most of the day outside enjoying the fresh air and everything the park had to offer, however we did head inside to shelter from a couple of rain showers.

Springfields

Inside, they have a 10,000 sq ft play barn which is packed full of fun play equipment including soft play frames, a vertical Drop Slide, a wavy Astra Mat Slides ride on cars, trampolines, a toddler area and a cafe.

Springfields

It is the Enchanted Wood that mine couldn’t wait to revisit, making up stories as they walked around it, wandering in and out of the houses.

Springfields

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Springfields, it is just a shame it is so far away as we would be regular visitors if we lived closer.

Springfields

A Family* ticket costs £32.00 (*2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years, or 1 adult and 3 children). All activities are included in the price with the exception of pony rides and animal food.

  1. Ah I wish you had time to swing by us on your visit. Still I’m glad you made it to Springfields. I remember it being perfect for younger children and recommend it to families staying here all the time. Having not been there myself for a few years now it’s great to know it still lives up to expectations. There are so few places with the insurance to run pony rides for little ones, I really think they have something unique going.

  2. What a great opening photo! I hope you didn’t get bashed taking the photo as they came charging down the slide!
SpringFields Farm looks lovely & the play equipment looks really well put together. And even tho you had to dodge a few showers it does look like you had a great time. Sebastian looks a little bit unsure of the pony ride doesn’t he?!
