Knights in Training at Corfe Castle

Corfe Castle

Corfe Castle has to be one of our favourite spots to visit in Dorset. Owned by the National Trust, Corfe Castle is one of Britain’s most iconic survivors of the English Civil War and once at the top of the hill, offers amazing views over the Purbeck Hills. There is a small car park at the bottom of the hill and an easy to follow path up to the castle with information posts for the kids to find with details of local wildlife they can see on the walk. We haven’t visited the castle for a while and half way… Continue Reading “Knights in Training at Corfe Castle”

When WWE came to Bournemouth

American Alpha WWE

Isaac adores WWE but it has not visited Bournemouth since 2015, until now! We were invited along to see our favourite wrestling stars at the Bournemouth International Centre on Monday and having been collecting various WWE memorabilia for a couple of years we arrived dressed for the occasion. The kids could not wait to get inside and see which of their favourite stars would be fighting tonight and were really excited when Shinsuke Nakamura came out, having met him at NXT last year, and the cheers only got louder when he defeated Dolph Ziggler with the Kinshasa. Next up were Kian’s… Continue Reading “When WWE came to Bournemouth”

A Trip to Birmingham to see Ed Sheeran at the Barclaycard Arena

My husband isn’t really the romantic type, but every now and then he does something to surprise me. For my 40th birthday it was a hot air balloon flight but other than the occasional meal out we have not done anything as a couple for quite some time. Back at the end of January I dropped as many hints as is humanly possible for him to book tickets to see Ed Sheeran as I was working on the release date, but, like many disappointed fans he told me that he just couldn’t get through. Fast forward a week and he randomly… Continue Reading “A Trip to Birmingham to see Ed Sheeran at the Barclaycard Arena”
