A Jurassic Cruise with City Cruises Poole

Old Harry Rocks

Way back last December I was lucky enough to win a Jurassic Cruise to Swanage with City Cruises. It was planned in for their last cruise of the season, however, with the promise of some fabulous weather this weekend, they kindly moved it to Saturday for me. We had Sebby’s class teddy with us, so started the day on Poole Quay where we treated the kids, and Pip, to a cone of chips whilst we waited for our boat to arrive. Poole Quay in itself is a fun place to visit, with plenty of places to entertain the kids and we… Continue Reading “A Jurassic Cruise with City Cruises Poole”

Milton Jones is Out There Tour – Bournemouth

Hubby and I love our comedy shows and one of our favourites has to be Mock the Week. It was on here that we were introduced to Milton Jones, king of play-on-words jokes and one liners, and we have been lucky to see him on twice before, once on tour and again at Camp Bestival. Last week he was back in Bournemouth and we were lucky enough to see him again. Milton Jones started the show literally dressed as Great Britain and much of the first half was loosely based on broken Britain with some Brexit-inspired jokes and astute political comments that… Continue Reading “Milton Jones is Out There Tour – Bournemouth”

Pumpkin Picking at Sopley Farm

My kids have been nagging me to go pumpkin picking for ages. The last few years we have been away for Halloween so we never managed it, however, we are at home for October half term, so there was no excuse. Sopley Farm, set on the edge of the New Forest, is our closest Pick Your Own farm that has a pumpkin patch and we headed across to visit last weekend. Sopley Farm grow nearly 20 different fruit and vegetables. Some are grown for Pick Your Own, and some for selling ready picked through their farm shop so if you… Continue Reading “Pumpkin Picking at Sopley Farm”

A Tour of MSC Cruise Lines Preziosa

Last year we were lucky enough to go on our first cruise and it is safe to say that we fell in love with sailing the seven seas, as it is a great way of visiting lots of countries without the hassle of constantly packing and unpacking. I was invited onboard the MSC Preziosa whilst it was docked locally in Southampton with Tots100 for their #BlogCampOnBoard conference and I couldn’t wait to see what was in store. Getting up close and personal with a cruise ship is always a real treat as nothing prepares you for their sheer size, especially… Continue Reading “A Tour of MSC Cruise Lines Preziosa”

Exploring Bourton-on-the-Water, Birdland and the Dragonfly Maze

Bourton on the Water

A couple of weeks ago we headed to the Cotswolds for a short break. If I am honest, I didn’t do a great deal of research before we got there and had just a couple of places in mind to visit, however, when Stressy Mummy commented on one of my instagram posts from Cotswold Wildlife Park with suggestions of places to visit, my plans changed. She suggested Bourton-on-the-Water which is regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England and is it was just a short ten minute drive from our Cotswold Holiday Cottage, I was sold. We arrived early… Continue Reading “Exploring Bourton-on-the-Water, Birdland and the Dragonfly Maze”
