It’s coming up to that time of year now, where the roads are becoming increasingly harder to navigate because of rain, ice, wind and lately, even fog! At the weekend I was happily motoring up the M3 on the way to LaplandUK and the wind was so strong it literally ripped the wiper blade off my car which was a bit of a scary experience. Our trip to stay in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Colchester had been booked for over a year and after some initial trepidation of leaving the children in their sister’s care for a weekend we were very excited about having a child-free weekend for Hubby’s best friends wedding – something we had not had for well over two years.
