Back in February we made the journey from Poole to St Malo in France for half term. It was a holiday we thoroughly enjoyed, although surviving a ferry journey with kids in bad weather was a steep learning curve. Taking the ferry is far less hassle than travelling by air, as you avoid long queues to check-in, excess baggage charges and a 2 hour wait for your flight to even board.
