Travelling to France: Ferry vs Plane

Back in February we made the journey from Poole to St Malo in France for half term. It was a holiday we thoroughly enjoyed, although surviving a ferry journey with kids in bad weather was a steep learning curve. Taking the ferry is far less hassle than travelling by air, as you avoid long queues to check-in, excess baggage charges and a 2 hour wait for your flight to even board. How to Survive a Ferry journey with Kids

I hadn’t been on a ferry since I was at school until last weekend and I was quite blase about it, after all I had never been unwell aboard a boat. When we arrived in Poole harbour to board, what is affectionately known locally as the vomit comet, I started to worry.
