All the fun of Kidpreneur Day at Kidzania London

We first discovered Kidzania in London back in 2015 and the kids have been asking to go back ever since. Kidzania is an indoor city run by kids that is perfect for a fun day out, with over 60 real-life activities for the kids to get involved with. Based in Westfield London, you are greeted by a British Airways plane as you head inside and then queue up in an airline check-in type system to present your boarding passes and collect everything you need for your adventure. The kids are given RFID security bracelets, which not only ensure they cannot… Continue Reading “All the fun of Kidpreneur Day at Kidzania London”

London Meal and Theatre to see Les Miserables with Red Letter Days

Les Miserables plaque

Hubby’s favourite musical is Les Miserables and he has been dropping hints about seeing it for years, however, it has never really been on my radar and I have been putting it off. The hints have been getting progressively stronger as time goes on, the film has been on the TV more times than I can count and the album is in his car, so I knew something had to give, so when Red Letter Days offered me the chance to review one of their theatre packages, I knew just which musical I was going to pick. It is really… Continue Reading “London Meal and Theatre to see Les Miserables with Red Letter Days”

A visit to Madame Tussauds London with kids

R2D2 C3PO

My boys have always liked Star Wars, influenced by their Dad’s obsession with the series, but over the last year since attending the Jedi Training Academy at Walt Disney World that like has grown in love. When Isaac had his birthday back in April, he asked to go to Madame Tussauds as he wanted to see their Star Wars exhibition but it is something we kept putting off due to work commitments. During the last week of the school holidays we surprised the kids with a visit to London and started the day with a visit to Dinosaur World Live… Continue Reading “A visit to Madame Tussauds London with kids”

A day in London with our Merlin Annual Pass

London Eye rain

During the Easter holiday’s we headed to London for a day out. We are Merlin Annual Pass holders and I made sure I took our passes with us as there is so much to see and do, especially on the South Bank. Our first stop was The Shard View for an event to launch the new film Ferdinand to DVD and as it was an early start, it left us with almost a full day to explore London. From the top of the Shard you can see the London Eye and it didn’t seem like too far to walk, so… Continue Reading “A day in London with our Merlin Annual Pass”

Superhero Takeover at London Zoo

Superhero HQ

On Friday, we were invited to a very special event at London Zoo – the superheroes were taking over!! These are not your typical superheroes though, although we did spy Spiderman by the entrance of ‘In with the Spiders’ exhibit. Instead, from now until Sunday 15th April, visitors to London Zoo are able to take part in a self-guided Superpowers Trail around the Zoo, discovering real life animals with heroic superskills. The kids were given a special comic book as we entered the zoo, packed with fun activities to guide them on this exciting new animal adventure. The booklet has interactive activities at each… Continue Reading “Superhero Takeover at London Zoo”

Zoorassic Park at ZSL London Zoo

Regular readers of my blog will know that Sebastian is dinosaur mad and when we heard that dinosaurs were invading ZSL London Zoo, we knew we had to visit. Between 22nd July to 3rd September, visitors the zoo are whisked back in time to Zoorassic Park a prehistoric world where you can come face to face with life-size, moving dinosaurs. The kids picked up a fun passport style trail to complete before entering the time-travelling tunnel which took us back to the Mesozoic era (about 65 million years ago, give or take a few days). We emerged from the tunnel in… Continue Reading “Zoorassic Park at ZSL London Zoo”
