La Cinéscénie at Puy Du Fou – Review

La Cinéscénie

Puy du Fou is like no attraction I have even witnessed and, if I am honest, I am still struggling to put into words how awesome it is. The shows are literally ‘out of this world’ and will have you questioning yourself about how they pull off some of their amazing stunts and tricks. There was not one show that didn’t impress me and I loved them all, but throughout our visit we were told “Just wait for La Cinéscénie“. La Cinéscénie costs an extra €27 on top of park admission, although you can get this discounted if you buy it… Continue Reading “La Cinéscénie at Puy Du Fou – Review”

Wonderland the Musical – Review

Wonderland Landscape

Last week we were invited to the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton to see Wonderland the Musical. Apart from the fact that we got a little lost trying to find it, we arrived in plenty of time, getting to take in all the nods to the popular Roald Dahl book throughout the theatre. It was the stage that provided the real “Wow” factor though, as it was covered from floor to ceiling in hundreds of books, spelling out words from the story. Matilda… Continue Reading “Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty!”

Practically Perfect in Every Way!

Mary Poppins

It is not often that Hubby and I get out without the children but when we do it is something we make the most of. For Mother’s Day this year the kids (aka Hubby) bought tickets to go and see Mary Poppins the musical which is touring the country at the moment and has made a stop at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre. I adore the film and couldn’t wait to see how they transported all my favourite songs from TV to stage and was not disappointed. In fact both Hubby and I were blown away by the amazing performances by Zizi… Continue Reading “Practically Perfect in Every Way!”
